Double-sided tape, made to order

One bond line, fully engineered.

A double-sided tape is only as good as the match between its adhesive, carrier and your two substrates. Because we run the full chain — from acrylic resin to finished roll — we don’t resell a stock item; we build the construction your application needs.

Choose a thin film for a clean low-profile bond, a tissue or non-woven for splicing and lamination, a foam to fill gaps and damp vibration, or a high-bond acrylic foam to replace rivets and welds. Same adhesive both sides — or a different adhesive on each.

Own adhesive & filmAcrylic PSA and BOPP film made in-house — tack, peel and temperature are tuned, not bought.
Differential adhesionA higher-tack side for quick grab and a removable or repositionable side — on the same tape.
Slit & die-cut to shapeAny width 6–1280 mm, plus kiss-cut / rotary parts on a liner for automated assembly.
Product range

Double-sided tapes by carrier.

Six core constructions — each customizable on adhesive, thickness, color and liner. Not sure which fits? Send your substrates and we’ll recommend one.

Tissue double-sided tape from nibaL
Non-woven tissue

Double-sided tissue tape

Thin, hand-tearable, easy to die-cut. The workhorse for splicing, paper/foam lamination and lightweight mounting.

Carrier: tissue / non-woven · Adhesive: acrylic / rubber / hot-melt
Thickness: 0.08–0.15 mm
PET / film double-sided tape from nibaL
PET / polyester film

Double-sided PET (film) tape

Thin, strong and dimensionally stable for a clean low-profile bond. Great for nameplates, foam lamination and electronics.

Carrier: PET film · Adhesive: acrylic (solvent / water)
Thickness: 0.05–0.20 mm
Non-woven double-sided tape from nibaL
Non-woven fabric

Double-sided non-woven tape

Higher shear than tissue with good conformability — for general assembly and foam / gasket laminating.

Carrier: non-woven · Adhesive: acrylic / hot-melt
Thickness: 0.10–0.25 mm
PE / EVA foam double-sided tape from nibaL
PE / EVA foam

Double-sided foam tape

Closed-cell foam that fills gaps, levels uneven surfaces and damps vibration — signage, mirrors, trims and weatherstrip.

Carrier: PE / EVA foam · Adhesive: acrylic / rubber
Thickness: 0.4–3.0 mm
Acrylic foam (high-bond) tape from nibaL
Viscoelastic acrylic foam

Acrylic foam (high-bond) tape

A viscoelastic acrylic core for structural bonding — replaces rivets, welds and screws in automotive and architectural panels.

Carrier: acrylic foam · Adhesive: modified acrylic
Thickness: 0.4–2.0 mm
Adhesive transfer tape from nibaL
Unsupported (no carrier)

Adhesive transfer tape

Pure adhesive on a liner — the thinnest bond line and the best wet-out on contoured parts, graphics and labels.

Carrier: none · Adhesive: acrylic
Thickness: 0.025–0.13 mm

How it’s built

The anatomy of a double-coated tape.

A supported double-sided tape is a six-layer sandwich: adhesive on both faces of a carrier, with a siliconized release liner so the roll won’t stick to itself. A transfer tape drops the carrier — pure adhesive on a liner — for the thinnest possible bond line.

Release liner — siliconized, peels away at application
Adhesive — bonding side A
Carrier — tissue / film / foam (omitted on transfer tape)
Adhesive — bonding side B (can differ from side A)
Release liner — protects side B until use

Get the best bond

Three things that make a tape hold.

01 · Substrate

Know your surface energy

Glass and most metals are high surface energy and bond easily. Plastics like PP and PE are low surface energy and repel standard adhesives. Quick field test: drop water on it — if it beads up tight, it’s LSE and needs a tackier or modified-acrylic adhesive.

02 · Surface prep

Clean before you stick

Wipe with a 70/30 isopropyl-alcohol / water mix to remove oils and dust. Heavy oil needs degreasing; oxidized metal needs light abrasion; some LSE plastics benefit from a primer/adhesion promoter.

03 · Dwell time

Let the adhesive wet out

Pressure-sensitive adhesives keep flowing into the surface after application, so bond strength climbs over time. Apply firm pressure, then let it build.

~50% bond at 20 min · ~90% at 24 h · ~100% at 72 h

Buyer FAQ

Double-sided tape questions.

The things buyers ask before ordering. Don’t see yours? Send it with your spec.

What’s your MOQ for custom double-sided tape?
MOQ depends on the construction and whether it’s a stock or custom adhesive/size, but it’s low for a source factory — tell us the type, size and target quantity and we’ll confirm the exact MOQ with your quote.
Can I get free samples first?
Yes. We ship free samples so you can test on your own substrates before committing — request them with your spec and we’ll send the matching constructions.
Acrylic or rubber adhesive — which do I need?
Acrylic gives the best long-term durability, UV/temperature and solvent resistance. Rubber gives higher initial tack and bonds better to low-surface-energy plastics, but with lower temperature resistance. Tell us your substrate and environment and we’ll match it.
Will it bond to PP / PE and other LSE plastics?
Standard acrylics struggle on low-surface-energy plastics, but we offer modified-acrylic and rubber systems formulated for PP, PE and powder-coated surfaces. Send a sample of your part and we’ll recommend the right adhesive.
How do I choose the thickness?
Thin tissue/film (0.05–0.2 mm) suits flat, well-matched surfaces and low-profile bonds; foam (0.4–3.0 mm) fills gaps, levels uneven surfaces and damps vibration; high-bond acrylic foam handles structural loads and outdoor use.
Can the two sides have different adhesives?
Yes — differential coating lets us put a high-tack permanent side and a removable/repositionable side on the same tape, which is common for tricky substrate pairs.
Can you slit to my width and die-cut shapes?
Yes — we slit 6–1280 mm and produce kiss-cut / rotary die-cut parts, finger-lift tabs, pads and sheets on a liner for automated assembly.
Do you offer private label / OEM?
Yes — your logo, core, liner print and packaging. We supply OEM/ODM for distributors and brands worldwide.
What’s the lead time?
Samples typically ship within a day or two; production lead time depends on quantity and construction and is confirmed on your quote.
