Tissue double-sided tape, made to order

High tack, easy to die-cut, easy on cost.

Tissue double-sided tape carries our acrylic adhesive on a thin cotton-tissue base. The tissue gives it body so it die-cuts cleanly and tears by hand, while strong initial tack grabs paper, card, leather, foam, felt and wood on contact. It’s the everyday double-sided tape — the one most factories reach for first.

Choose the adhesive to match the job: a solvent acrylic for the strongest general-purpose grab, a low-odour water-based acrylic that won’t yellow or bleed into cartons and food packaging, or a hot-melt that holds to 80–120 °C for heat-press and embroidery work.

Own acrylic adhesiveWe coat our own PSA — tack and tissue weight tuned in-house for clean die-cutting and reliable stick.
Easy to convertTears by hand, die-cuts cleanly and strips waste smoothly — built for high-speed converting.

How it’s built

The anatomy of a tissue double-sided tape.

Tissue double-sided tape is a thin sandwich: a cotton-tissue carrier coated with our acrylic adhesive on both faces, protected by a glassine or kraft release liner. The tissue is what lets it tear by hand and die-cut without distorting.

Release liner — white glassine, yellow kraft or clear; peels away at application
Acrylic adhesive — bonding side A
Cotton-tissue carrier — gives body for clean die-cutting and hand-tear
Acrylic adhesive — bonding side B
Where it’s used

Applications.

Print & packaging mounting

Card lamination, paper splicing, tags and label fixing — the highest-volume use.

Colour & gift boxes

Low-odour, non-staining water-based grade for cartons and gift packaging.

Embroidery backing

Holds fabric to backing paper during machine embroidery — no shifting, gentle on cloth.

Leather goods & bags

Temporary positioning of leather, foam and fabric before sewing.

Nameplates & labels

Backing for metal nameplates, PVC labels and stickers on plastic, wood and metal.

Albums, cards & crafts

Thin, flat-bonding tape for albums, greeting cards and paper crafts.

Foam & felt bonding

Thicker high-tack grade for sponge, felt and flannel that need gap-fill.

Electronics die-cut parts

Die-cut backing for foam, dust filters and insulation parts in light assembly.

Choose the right tape

Three things that decide which one you need.

01 · Adhesive

Grab, low-odour or heat?

Solvent acrylic gives the strongest general grab; water-based is best when odour, yellowing or bleed matter (packaging, food, export); hot-melt is for heat-press and embroidery where it sees temperature.

02 · Thickness

Smooth or uneven?

80 μm for flat paper work; 100–120 μm for all-round bonding; 150–200 μm to fill slight unevenness on foam, felt and rough board.

03 · Converting

Roll or ready shape?

Slit rolls for general use; a stiffer yellow kraft liner runs faster on high-speed die-cutting; or order ready die-cut pads with finger-lift tabs.

Buyer FAQ

Tissue double-sided tape questions.

The things buyers ask before ordering. Don’t see yours? Send it with your spec.

What’s your MOQ for custom tissue double-sided tape?
It’s low for a source factory and depends on the adhesive, thickness and whether the size is custom — tell us the type, width, format and target quantity and we’ll confirm the exact MOQ with your quote.
Can I get free samples first?
Yes. We ship free samples so you can test tack and die-cutting on your own materials before committing — request them with your spec.
Solvent, water-based or hot-melt — which do I need?
Solvent acrylic gives the strongest general grab and best value; water-based is low-odour and won’t yellow or bleed — best for packaging, food boxes and export; hot-melt handles heat (80–120 °C) for heat-press and embroidery.
Will it yellow or bleed into paper and packaging?
The water-based and hot-melt grades are formulated not to yellow or bleed, so they’re safe for colour boxes, albums and food packaging. Solvent grades are fine for general work but we’d recommend water-based where staining matters.
How thick should I choose?
80 μm for flat paper-to-paper work; 100–120 μm is the all-round factory standard; 150–200 μm fills slight unevenness on sponge, felt, flannel and rough board.
Does it handle heat?
Standard solvent tissue tape holds to about 60 °C. For higher temperatures — heat-press, foil stamping, embroidery — choose the hot-melt grade, rated 80–120 °C.
Can you die-cut shapes and supply jumbo rolls?
Yes — we supply jumbo master rolls (1 / 1.27 m) for converters, slit rolls in standard widths, and die-cut squares, circles, custom shapes and finger-lift pads on a liner.
White glassine or yellow kraft liner — what’s the difference?
White glassine is the common all-round liner with smooth hand-tear; yellow kraft is stiffer and stronger, so it resists tearing on thick adhesive, large-area and high-speed die-cutting. Clear liner helps with precise small-part positioning.
Will it hold on leather, foam and rough card?
Yes — strong initial tack grips leather, foam, felt, card and wood. For rough or soft materials, a thicker 150–200 μm high-tack grade fills the surface and resists lifting.
Do you offer private label / OEM?
Yes — your logo, core and packaging. We supply OEM / ODM for distributors and brands worldwide.
What’s the lead time?
Samples typically ship within a day or two; production lead time depends on quantity and format and is confirmed on your quote.
What information should I send to get a recommendation?
Tell us the materials you’re bonding, whether odour / yellowing or heat matter, the thickness or tack you expect, the width and format (jumbo / slit / die-cut), and the quantity. With that we’ll recommend a grade, send free samples and quote.
